CPZ may be introduced on street by street basis even if majority vote against

'The results of the consultation, combined with the views of the community council and the parking occupancy surveys will help determine whether or not a CPZ is introduced (subject to second stage consultation) in some or all of the area.

If a decision is made to go ahead with introducing a CPZ, we will carry out a second consultation with all residents and businesses in the roads concerned to determine the final parking layout before works begin.'

Against a controlled parking zone on Beckwith Road

I am against  this sneaky way of enforcing a parking charge to park outside my own home.  We know that it is just a source of income for the government, penalising car drivers that live on the road.  Why should I pay to leave my car outside my home?!!!  The parking fee will rise each year to cover your costs for imposing such a restriction, and then, to top it all, I have to pay for my family to park outside too?...... This is outrageous!!!!.  Can Southwark guarantee a parking space?

I am definitely against a controlled parking zone on Beckwith Road, SE24 9LG.

Regards

Ms M Williams
