CPZ may be introduced on street by street basis even if majority vote against

'The results of the consultation, combined with the views of the community council and the parking occupancy surveys will help determine whether or not a CPZ is introduced (subject to second stage consultation) in some or all of the area.

If a decision is made to go ahead with introducing a CPZ, we will carry out a second consultation with all residents and businesses in the roads concerned to determine the final parking layout before works begin.'

I live in Wyneham Road..I rarely find parking here a problem

I am strongly against CPZ.  I fail to see any advantages.  How can this possibly provide any further parking spaces?  I rarely find parking here a problem.  The only time it is difficult is in the evenings when it is clearly residents that are using the spaces.  I have never noticed people parking here to use the station.  All it means is that we will have to pay for the existing spaces outside our own homes which we already enjoy for free.  This seems an additional council tax to me.

I understand that on previous attempts 94% of people were against this plan, so wonder why it is being raised again?

I have heard that some residents have found it difficult to park.  I suggest those are the people with larger vehichles.  Although I don't find this I would be interested in a precise explanation of how exactly being charged £99.30 per year as a minimum will increase the number of parking spaces.  I fail to understand the geography of this.
