Survey results for Elfindale Road
Dear All
Re: Survey results for Elfindale Road regarding CPZ proposal
Total households that were actually asked = 62
Total against CPZ proposal = 54
Total for CPZ proposal = 4
Total unsure = 4
% against the proposal = 87.0%
% for the proposal = 6.5%
% unsure = 6.5%
40 additional houses and flats had no one in on both occasions that I went round or they appeared empty / being refurbished.
All the "no" households signed our petition against the CPZ proposal.
So a very strong majority against the CPZ proposal in Elfindale Road. Most households did not consider parking to be a problem in Elfindale.
The most commented objection to the CPZ proposal was because households do not want to have to pay to park. Several household also said that they very much liked the fact that they and their visitors could park without having to pay and worry about the potential of getting a parking ticket. A couple of household also mentioned that parking signs and parking meters on the street would look unattractive.
A small concern was the number of households that opposed the proposal but had either not got the Council's consultation document and questionnaire (especially households living in houses that have been converted into flats) or had not yet got around to sending it back. Hopefully we encourage these people to either email the Council or send back their consultation questionnaire.
