CPZ may be introduced on street by street basis even if majority vote against

'The results of the consultation, combined with the views of the community council and the parking occupancy surveys will help determine whether or not a CPZ is introduced (subject to second stage consultation) in some or all of the area.

If a decision is made to go ahead with introducing a CPZ, we will carry out a second consultation with all residents and businesses in the roads concerned to determine the final parking layout before works begin.'

Casino Avenue, Red Post Hill and Sunray Avenue...most against CPZ

Some of the Casino Ave residents have organised a petition against the CPZ we have quite a number of signatures.  There is a copy to sign at HH Pharmacy and Peterman's.  We have been going door to door in Casino Ave, Red Post Hill and Sunray Ave. We found most people that answered their door  were against the CPZ. None had filled in their survey forms.
We still have 1/2 of the street  to do.

    Re: Casino Avenue

Lots of people are against the CPZ in Casino Avenue becuase it is totally unnecessary. I always find parking space and my visitors have never had a problem parking here. I have filled and sent the survey form against the CPZ and will be signing the petition soon.

  2. Hi, i live in sunray ave and was disgusted by this vile money grabbing biased bilge of an information booklet and sent off my disgust instantly, all southwark council wants is our money.
someone in favour states that Sunray ave is busy with hospital workers parking, my comment to that is so what? they're key workers that are likely unable to afford the public transport system the council pretends to promote.
The council also harks on about busy streets from displacement in other cpz areas, hmmmm, other cpz areas this council created.....so...they by their own addmittance create a problem (which plenty of residents believe it is not such a big issue) then expect us to pay for it?
NO NO and NO, we must fight this all the way and check the legality of consultation etc.
